Why These Soft Protein Peanut Butter Cookies With Cottage Cheese Are Truly the Best!

If you love soft, almost cakey peanut butter cookies but want a little extra protein and nutrition, you’re in for a treat! These peanut butter protein cookies are packed with flavour, naturally sweetened, and have the perfect balance of chewiness and softness—all while sneaking in a secret ingredient: cottage cheese!

Here’s why they’re next-level delicious:

1. High in Protein, Yet Irresistibly Soft

Traditional chocolate chip cookies are tasty but don’t always offer much nutrition. These cottage cheese cookies change the game by adding protein, calcium, and nutrients from natural peanut butter! Here‘s some info about why cottage cheese is so healthy.

2. Just the Right Amount of Sweetness

Instead of using refined sugar, these cookies are sweetened with a touch of honey, which keeps them moist and adds a touch of natural caramel-like flavour. The scratch that sweet itch craving, but don’t cause a blood sugar crash.

3. A Dreamy Texture That Holds Together

One of the biggest challenges with high-protein cookies is keeping them soft and tender. Thanks to a mix of almond flour, oat flour, and a touch of butter, these cookies are soft and moist—no dry, crumbly protein cookies here!

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I Use a Different Type of Protein Powder?

Yes! While vanilla protein powder adds a light sweetness, you can use unflavored protein powder or even chocolate protein powder for a richer taste. Betware that different protein powders absorb moisture differently, so you may need to adjust the dough by adding a splash of any milk if it seems a tad dry.

2. Will These Cookies Taste Like Cottage Cheese?

Not at all! The blended cottage cheese creates a creamy, soft texture but doesn’t leave any noticeable taste. The peanut butter, vanilla extract, and chocolate chips make sure these cookies taste like classic peanut butter chocolate chip cookies—just with an added protein boost.

3. Can I Make These Cookies Dairy-Free?

I have not done things, but you can try swapping the cottage cheese for an equal amount of dairy-free yogurt (such as coconut yogurt) and use vegan butter or coconut oil in place of regular butter.

4. Can I make These Gluten-Free?

If you’re concerned about the potential contamination in the oat flour, feel free to try swapping cup-for cup-flour and let me know how it goes!
